Digital Transformation

In 2020 Xen Arts were lucky enough to receive funding from Arts Council England’s Emergency Response Grant. This helped us survive a very tricky time where all regular face to face activity was postponed or cancelled. Like many other arts organisations we would have struggled to survive without this help.

We used the funding to go through a digital transformation to enable us to take our activity online, buy necessary equipment and look towards a sustainable strategy for 2021.

Take a look at the Events page to see some of our online activity that took place over this difficult time as we transitioned to working in a new way. From carnival workshops with RJC Dance to grandparents and grandchildren connecting and moving on zoom, to a group of local dance artists attending a virtual workshop led by Dr Maxine Room CBE about inclusive diversity and discussing positive changes we can make as artists in East Anglia.

It hasn’t been an easy shift and we’re still learning as we go but we’ve come to enjoy these new challenges and feel positive about new experiences and  more ‘creative connections’ for 2021!
